    Adobe Lightroom 3 Available
Adobe made the final version of Lightroom 3 available tonight. I haven't downloaded it and I didn't mess with the beta this time around. But I did write up a short overview and also included a link to drg's hands-on article about Lightroom 3 Beta 2.

I'm definitely getting this one but I'm waiting to see if Adobe announces bundle pricing for Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 3.

Excellent! Like I said, I'm upgrading for sure but I want to see if there's a bundle price for LR and CS5. I also have a brand new computer that's been sitting here for a few weeks that needs to get set up. It's 64-bit and it should be awesome for Lightroom and Photoshop if I can ever press pause and get it set up

I have been playing with it for about a month with the free trial. I really like it. watermarking is so easy to do. still getting use to all the other goodies like dodge and burning tools, teeth whiting is easier in photoshop. but in all its nice.

    by the way CS5 rocks.lol

There is currently a 30% discount bundle for CS5 and Lightroom 3 combined. However check the upgrade path for individual products! It might work out as less money as Lightroom itself is only $99 when upgraded from an earlier version.

Here it is past midnight and I've been getting LR3 loaded with a few thousand images to start.

So far everything looks fine and:

    - LR3 is significantly faster to load.
    - The interface/browser from the beta is a welcome improvement.
    - All my curve implementations seem to have translated.
    - The installation removed the Beta automatically.
    - Noise Reduction is improved.
    - The Lens Calibration Correction (like in CS5) has possibility. Still needs more testing to see how effective it really is other than CA and Lens Vignette correction in an auto fashion. Several new tools and adjustments to evaluate.
    - Lens Calibration supports the new tools from ADOBE for any lens/camera combos that a user wants to build or generate.
    - Older Process and ACR versions have survived. Some images may just look better (perceptual issue) with the older RAW recipes.
    - Video functions seem to have a few more features than Beta?
    - Initially exports from all modules including Print, Web, and Slideshow are speedier.

More to come plus a full review. I'll be using this version for my work right away. LR2.x is still on the machines just in case though I feel confident that this release is ready to go.

One hang up, I put in the wrong serial numbers when registering and couldn't figure out what happened! My fault and it was easily remedied. Fumble fingeritis strikes again.
