On the top of the hill...

Over the weekend I went for a bike ride on an all familiar hill near my house,
there is a wee stone chapel to which I never paid attention before, but it did look interesting when I saw it speeding my way downhill.
The next day I rode again, this time with my camera, here is shot from early in the morning, the ladder seen on one of the openings is from a painter working on the front

Te same day I went back at night looking for a better shoot ...

Light is from large electric lamps behind the chapel, I liked this shot better , altough I wanted a more intense blue sky, and went back again the next morning before sunrise, this time I found the lights were off and it was a bit too early for a bluer sky, since I did not have time to wait for more light as I needed to get to work, I ended up shooting this panorama
<< click to see it in imageshack, once it loads, click on the image again it again to see it big

Another day... getting home from work there is an interesting sunset which I would like to shoot from the chapel location, I stopped home to get the camera, but by time I got there, the colors were gone ...
I took a bracketed series and made this HDR which I think looks dramatic with the near monochromatic tones

I'm sure I'll keep going back to that location for more photos , hopefully on my bike

    Thanks for looking!

Number 3 with the light on (the cross) would be awesome!

LOL -- I'd have better luck hunting up the switch -- at midnight.
