    September Photo Project: Competition
Hey all, it's that time of the month again. Time for a new project.
I am in a competitive mode so I want to see all forms of:

    Competition

Any and all forms are welcome. Anything you can think of a competitive.

And make sure to check the August Photo Of The Month!

My son (on the left) loves competing at Taekwondo. This was at a graduation to get his green belt. He was about to compete in "free" sparring, which means No contact. It is a chance to show off what you have learned!

Yeah yeah.....more racin :D :D In racing you not only compete against the other drivers, but other things like pit crews, and even the walls.

    #1: The wall ALWAYS wins!

#2: Someone always gets to the checkered flag first :D

I don't like to post my images in the Project forum, unless I take the image with the project in mind, or during the month that the project is taking place. But what the heck, here's a shot of a couple of frogs competing for breeding rights. This was taken back in July but I think it fits this project nicely. Some of you may have seen this in the Nature Forum.

A couple of these were posted elsewhere. New York City - where else do you see the competitive spirit more! And in such different ways. A Pickup game on 4th Street, and a Chess match in Washington Square Park - Loser pays.

Snapped this one today at a butterfly habitat in DC...the wasp was following this butterfly, competing for the flowers. :)

    "Photography competition"

I thought I'd include this one. Achieved a 1st place win on one website and a Best of Category on another.

    "Poster Competition"

Back in May 2005, all the schools in our town entered a poster competition to promote the best kept garden.
Every school had a winner for the competition, but my daughter, Lisa, was the Grand Prize winner out of ALL the schools!!!
    How proud did I feel?!

She won £35 worth of gift vouchers and got to meet the Mayor. She was in the local newspaper, twice, and her poster was displayed in shops throughout our town!

The first was posted recently in Sports - but it was shot this month.

The others were shot earlier this year. Of course it's nature!

This is my first post to the forum, thought it might fit into the category of competition.
Horse and rider competing as a team in the stadium jumping.
