    The story behind that is that the East Midlands Airport is right next door to the Donnington Park race circuit.
    When they use the long Melbourne loop and the hairpin instead of just hte esses on the way back to the pits, then there is a good hill, and the track is almost in line with the approach for the airport.

    It took several landings to get the cars coming down the hill while the plane was going the other way at the right height.
    I thought about it on takeoff too, but it didn't seem as striking a photo as having the plane heading towards the cars.
