Yeah, I spaced out and got behind on the Photo Project. What shall we do? Glass sounds interesting. We can start that on September 1st. Sound good?

All other suggestions are welcome and will be saved for later.

    Ok
I'll cave......and give up the streets for now. :p

So......maybe people could post some ideas as to what "glass" could include? I'm sure there are lots of creative ideas around. They're just not registering in my tired brain right now. :)

OK, street photography would be so apt, with Cartier-Bresson's recent death.

I'm setting myself one - because of a song I love "Waiting by the Road" by Coope, Boyes and Simpson (known to friends as soup bowl and croutons - don't ask!) album Twenty-four Seven (No Masters NMCD20).

I immediately thought there was so much scope to set a slideshow to this.
But maybe it's better just to have it in the background while studying the prints at your own pace.

    Sad left handed rubber glove.
    Half a pair of Trainers.
    An empty supermarket scotch,
    left by failed abstainers.
    A broken rusty frigidaire.
A coat from last year's fashion.
    A juggernaut's discarded tread.
    Remains of last night's passion.

    Waiting by the road,
we are waiting by the road.
All of life for us to see, waiting by the road.

    Trainee spare time millionaires
    see your money growing.
    Pyramids you'll never climb
    car boots overflowing.
A diet where you're bound to lose
    pay more to be slimmer.
    Logon to www-guaranteed-a-winner

    Cellophane memorials,
    verges strewn with flowers.
    Youth curtailed,
showroom shine fading in the showers.
    Puddles glinting rainbow hues,
    furrows plough the new grass.
    Disembowelled cassettes
lie in a snow of broken glass.

    Contraflowing traffic snarls
    high speed wheels are crawling.
    Cars and tempers overheat
    a million cellhpones calling.
    Status badging GPS
    more hard drive than Apollo.
    But fast lane high-tech parking
is a bitter pill to swallow.

Plenty to inspire a series of photos there, I think.
    More than a weekend's work !

Am I missing something? Are you teasing me because the old Street Project is still listed at the top of this page? I've got it coming, I know.

I'm the one missing something !
I missed it. Yes, I missed the whole thing. I missed the fact that street photography was the May project. :o

Ack.........for some reason, I thought it was changed to something else - and I never checked. Sorry John!
