    October project Graves, etc.
Can you believe I forgot it was October already? Too much stuff going on around here.

Project subject...hmmm? How about Graves/cemeteries/ memorials...should fit for those who get into the Halloween stuff.

I suggest re-title"ing" the thread to October fest..... "graves" is not very appealing...just my 1 1/2 cents.

You are the mod though so I respect your decision......

You have to think this stuff thru....never rush...life's too short. :O)

Curious thing in Greyfriars cemetery Edinburgh Scotland, they seem to have built the tombs in the surrounding houses

On a lighter note, here lies the wired telephone:

These fall under "etc." in the thread title. Obviously not graves, but these are horses that reside in the stables of the Arlington National Cemetary. No automotive hearses are used, only horse-drawn caissons.

Nice shots. This brings back memories. I was in Normandy a few years ago (maybe 10). I went with a friend - we were both deeply moved during our visit. I got some great photos too as the sky was breath-taking. There were some very dark clouds - while the sun was shining. It was a very emotional moment.

My photos were done on film so I only have the prints and some negatives. I am still looking for a place that will convert them to ditial for a reasonable price. The cost for this is still way beyond what I can afford.

    Thanks for sharing.

Liz, My son has a house in Normandy. It is, as you say a very emotional place to visit. We really must never forget...

John, all the pictures are showing for me. I also logged out to see if that was a problem and I can still see all the pictures. Jeff
