I'll try to shoot some new stuff this month.
Didn't get chance to shoot much of anything last month, being laid up for 2 weeks after my operation.

    Cara,

This is really a neat shot. I'm not usually one for this type of photography, but I really enjoyed viewing this image. You have a good eye. Great colors btw.

The leaves have changed, the days are getting shorter, and the geese are heading south.
On a walk about last Saturday, spotted a huge field full of Canada Geese stirring from their overnite rest !

Spring has sprung... Fall has fell...
So folks call these August Lilies (Spider lilies - Surprise lilies or ????), but the "bumper' crop of blooms was Sept and now October.

I know you guys gt tired of my fire house pictures but I thought these were kind of neat. When we have a patient that is a serious trauma we fly them to a trauma center because we are an hour away by ground but only 15 minutes by air. So we call for a helicopter to transport for us.

Here is the story to go with the picture.

I was out on my motorcycle taking a few fall pictures when the page came through. I rode my motorcycle into the scene behind our medic unit. Call was injuries from an assault. I did some patient care and head to the landing zone ahead of the medic to help set out an LZ but our engine company was already there. I got back in the medic truck to help out one of our guys until the helicopter got there. As soon as care was transferred to the air crew I grabbed my camera for a photo opt.

I love this image Alison. It catches my eye every time I open this thread. It always registers in my mind like I'm looking through a window and this leaf is stuck to the glass because the separation between the leaf and the background. I may have to try to create an image like this myself. Thanks for sharing!

Here is a simple shot of a leaf. It reminds me of a road map, or an aerial photo of an unpopulated area.

That's wonderful! I have to remember to try this myself, sometime. Usually leaves aren't still enough and I'm shooting handheld, making this kind of photo impossible.

    A Day Late &...
I've been meaning to post in this thread all month but I just don't have enough time in the day to get it all done. I've got tons of great fall photos to share, though. We have been having a fantastic fall in Utah -especially in the high country. Well, until we got three feet of snow last week. But I was up there a bunch to document the aspens in all their glory. Here are a few from one of my first trips up to shoot fall color. The first two here were taken in Big Cottonwood Canyon with the new Olympus E-5 pro digital SLR. The third was also taken with the E-5 but the location is a few hours south near Brianhead and Cedar Breaks National Monument.
