Yes, I thought they were a nice background to the silhouettes.

    Hi all

This is a sunflower image shot according to my usual technique which is: a) window light from the right, and b) light from the rear diffused through some paper taped to the window.

I've included a pic of the setup.

    Cheers

Re: June Photo Project: Window light

I know this is a quite tired photo, but being in N. Ireland for the first time, I had to take this shot:

It tasted as good as it looks, and it is true it doesn't travel!

Alison - sorry I'm so close and don't have time to visit!

Here's one that certainly different from the others... It comes from spending too much time in airports

    Alex,

Thanks for the kind words, but my shot doesn't hold a candle to your shots. How do you find such places?

And thank you as well. As for where I find these places I watch sides of the roads, wander the streets looking for signs of abandonments then find ways inside. I also read the paper troll the web for places being shut down. Plus I'm a part of a community of people who do likewise. Illegal: Yes Dangerous: Yes Fun & Rewarding: you betcha!

Not the most artistic of shots but window light all the same.
I love the fact that they are all looking at me

By the way this is actually my studio, (aka my kitchen. I love the natural light in my kitchen!), where I take most of my portraits. See the cooker in the bg? haha

Re: June Photo Project: Window light

I took this, this morning. While trying to keep the camera out of shot, not knowing where it was focusing, I accidentally managed to get the frame of my mirror in shot lol. Oh well. It's window light nonetheless.

Don't usually do these (projects), but this is one of my fav photos right now. Taken at the top of our stairs, in front of the sliding doors we just had put in.

Usually, I see the subject, and by the time I remember to post, the month is over.
    I sleep, but I don't rest.

Re: June Photo Project: Window light

I thought I would end my window light photograph with a pretty face

Bec was trying to take pics of herself with her camera phone, (in my studio haha), and she was getting frustrated with the results, so, I grabbed my camera and asked her if she would like me to take a few shots.

    Here are just a few.

Hard to argue with a choice like that for feature photo. Nice work Mike and congratulations.

Re: June Photo Project: Window light

Can I have an advice? The fact is that I am being engaged in amateur photography for 10 years and consider it my true vocation. I've read a lot of various articles about the charms of self-education on https://essay on time.com.au on time.com.au. But I would like to get more out of professional career with education. What do you know about such training centers in Australia? In any of the cities.
