    Axle,

You know how to use the window light! They're all really nice. My favorite is Lister Block and Crystal room.

    Thanks for sharing.

Re: June Photo Project: Window light

Thanks for the kind comments! Here's a couple more from Lister...

The unfortunate fact is that no one can get shots like these anymore. Like many locations Lister Block have been sealed up, and now has a guard there from 7am to 11pm. So the only time to go inside is late at night and there's no light coming in from the outside.

And one more from the Crystal Ballroom

The ballroom was added to the Hotel in 1921 (the actual hotel was built in 1903), and has stood empty since 1951. Access is hit and miss, but if you ask nicely at the front desk they may bring you up there.

Well, I wasn't much for flowers last month, but I think the light suits me better this time! It drives my wife crazy sometimes when I tell her "Stop! Don't move! I'll be right back!" but its usually worth it.

Heres ago with my P&S in "M" mode. The first 2 were taken on a plane ride to Dallas/ Fort Worth. The last one is in the rental car facility at the D/FW Airport.

Just saw this one JETA. Very nice indeed. You have shown yourself to be a very fast learner in the past and I think this window light thing may be another niche for you. Beautiful subject by the way.

Thanks Liz. Sometimes I think I could have saved thousnads over the last few years and just stuck with the P&S. But than I've had so much fun with the DSLR's I would have traded it for any amount of money.

He's the reason I have a camera...I might have been inspired by someone else that uses a 50mm prime

    Thank you so much r_w.
I can't believe how many people I have inspired to get that lens and to start doing window light photographs.

Here are a couple of window light portraits that I did on Fathers Day. The first is my daughter Pepper523 with her two month old Paul and the second one is my youngest Aunt327 with Jack her two year old nephew.
