Hey SARtech I'm with ya on most but that "Barracuda" looks like a Torino GT to me and the "scout" I'm pretty sure is actually an early Bronco.

BTW - Alison, thanks for the kind words about the retirement photo, been a while since I've checked this thread.

Thanks Paul. This was taken on the trail heading into Rae Lakes of Kings Canyon National Park. The Rae Lakes loop is a popular hike in the summer (snowshoe in the winter). If memory serves me right it's just over 40 miles of hiking for the whole loop. We took a rest day at the lakes and the fly fishing there was just incredible. Those lakes are full of Golden Trout.

I'm planning another backpacking trip to the San Juan Mountains in Colorado around labor day. I've been to that area many times. It's just too convenient for Texans. I need to go backpacking in California sometime. Looks awesome. Kings Canyon is definitely on my to do list.

I'll be curious to find out what the third one is! You got to admit it looks pretty darn close to a '71 Torino fastback (check color, 3 trim plates, rear side window, rear marker light placement, & bumper location) http://www.syslog.com/~jwilson/torino/299b_1.JPG

    Baby Backs.

Taken on the 4th of July. I'm still kicking myself for not grabbing the camera when we went back out on the boat that evening for fireworks. It was magical.

Well you're both close on the third one. So, to settle this, here's the front!!! A Ford Cobra (not sure of year)!

Except... a google search for [1971 Ford Cobra] will lead you to a page that states: "1971 Ford Cobra Torino is equipped with a 4bbl 351 Cleveland V8 engine and 4 speed transmission. Features include shaker hood scoop, factory hood mounted tachometer, factory glass louvers, magnum 500 wheels, and front disk brakes and bucket seats."

It would appear that this guy sprang for the name plates but not the other factory original accessories that came with all the REAL cobras like the glass louvers and shaker hood scoop  me thinks you have a lovely photo of an impostor.

I've been thinking the same thing!!! I found many "Torino's" that look similar, but haven't found the "Cobra" that looks the same. I guess it's possible he's a cheat...hehe...with all the car nuts around here, I can't believe they'd let him get away with it!!! hehe...

    That's a '68 Torino Cobra, Ken. I had a yellow '71 Torino Cobra 15 years ago..Ultra rare, I regret selling it.Only 3,054 produced in 1971.

Oh nice, I've never been to Colorado. Would love to visit sometime. A few friends and I are planning on a 3 day backpack and summit of Mt. Whitney over labor day. I haven't done any backpacking outside of California now that I think about it. There's just waaay too much variety and places to explore here.
