    I tried, really hard, but as you can see the 45-200 on the GH-1 doesn't want to flare for me, even direct into the sunset.
    Just one measly blob, that's it.
    Maybe it really doesn't need a lens hood after all ...

    Nice shots. I'm having trouble finding flare. I remembered when I used my uv filters I got alot more flare, if only I can find the darn thing :)

    ... and I forgot I had an old OM 50mm prime in the bag, on a micro 4/3 adapter.

    Tried it again yesterday.

    Got it this time using the 24-105mm. Still, this shot has about as much flare as I could get (it depends on the zoom setting and how far off center the arc is).

    I did get flare-less images that I'll keep :)

    I find Apertures of about f22 or f16 help with sunbursts.
