For Those Having Problems with Nikon Coolscan on Windows 7 and 64-bit Operating Sys

I upgraded computers recently and am now running Windows 7 64 bit. I have a Nikon Coolscan 9000 scanner and unfortunately I realized afterward that Nikon does not have a driver for Windows 7. It also does not have a driver for any 64-bit OS! (wow, that is lame ..), Nikon recommends some after market scanning software ... VuScan or something.

However, someone found a post online where a fellow provides drivers and directions to get the Coolscans to work on Win 7 and 64 bit versions of Windows. I just ran through it and my Coolscan 9000 is working fine :D Can't vouch for the other Coolscans, but it's worth a try.
