is there a way to copy the levels of a photo and apply it to other photos? I ask because some of the pictures I take at the bball games I can get to look very good, while others, I can't get to look normal for some reason. They always have a untrue hue to them, and I want them to look like my other ones.

What do you mean by "copy the levels"? Do you mean that you want to copy the adjustments you made on one photo to other photos OR do you want to take a photo as is and make other photos match the brightness level of it? Or something else perhaps?

I can interpret your question many ways :)

If you are using Photoshop and using Levels adjustments you can save the settings used in one levels dialog and apply it to any other image by using the "Save" and "Load" buttons found in the Levels dialog window. You can do the same thiing for Curves adjustments. A file is created that saves the adjustment settings and you can then later load those settings any time you want.

yeah, I realize what I said could be slightly confusing. What I mean is there any way that I could copy the hues and levles of one image, say one that has the right skin tone, and apply it to another picture that has a yellow skin-tone in order to make that picture have the same color cast as the one that is correct? I realize that's still a little confusing, but I've included some pictures to help understand. Is there anyway I could copy the color levels of the first picture and re-apply them to the second picture in order to get rid of that yellow hue and get the same tones as the first photo?

u can try out using the match colour (if u have a PS CS, i fink its a new fuction or either 7/CS) from image>adjustment>match colour and match the yellowish picture's tone with the normal one. 1st u gota open both images on PS, then on ur yellowish pic, open up match colour, then select your file or layer u wana match colour (yellowish pic), and select the source file or layer you wana match from (normal pic). since its taken in same envirment, i suspect most ppl haf similar contents in colour info, so probaly match colour would work.

i'm still trying 2 figure out how 2 upload a pic here. but hea is how i did it,
match colour w/ da normal skin tone pix, and the tone turns normal, but the face is a bit too dark, so i also put a 25% shawdo and highlight, and it looks great

yeah~i finally figured out how 2 upload...lol~my file was too big~
