Straightening an image

    Straightening an image
    I took a photo of a painting for work the other day, the problem is that due to where the painting is hanging and where i have to shoot from i cannot get parrallel to the image. does anyone know of a way in photoshop cs that i can straighten it ? I can fix the rotation fine, however the image has a slight converging of verticals that i cannot seem to fix

    Use the "Transform" tools under Edit. Between the Skew and Perspective you should be able to tighten it up.

    Scott Kelby's Book Photoshop CS For Digital Photographers has a technique for fixing this. His example is a picture of a building that looks like it's falling over backwards because of the converging lines that you get when aiming the camera up - but the principal is the same. It's pretty easy but there are a few steps involved. It's a good book to have for reference anyway.

    Been awhile since I've done it but I think it's Transform > Perspective for starters.
