    Removing lens flare?
Hi - I have a pic that is pretty good, but has a small lens flare 'ball' shape near the sun. Can anyone suggest a good way to remove it? I have Corel Photopaint but it seems like a real chore to sit down and change the image. I'm wondering if there's a tool out there that can help with it.

    Thanks. Image is attached.

On first blush, it would appear that the only solution is to clone tool it out.

I'd say clone it out too, but that's a Photoshop tool and I'm not familiar with Corel Paint. It will take a little time to do it, but shouldn't be too bad. With something like that, I usually start by blowing it up to about 2-300% and use a small brush.

OTOH, to photographers, lens flare is pretty natural to see in a backlit scene. Just a thought. Nice shot, like the flare coming off the sun (I guess that's what I call it but that may not be correct).
