    Problem with digital photos???
    Hi guys!

I have a few photos in JPEG format that I took from my digital camera. The problem with them is that whenever I view the same in Thumbnail mode, it displays the image properly but when I try to open the file, only a part of the image is displayed and the rest is all corrupted.

Why is this happening and what can be done to resolve the same. This problem is not with all pictures taken from the digital camera.

    Thank you.

Which type of camera do you have, and how are you viewing the photos?

If you can view them fine on the camera, but on the computer they don't show up right, then chances are its something to do with either the computer or the way you are transfering your files over.

I have already transferred the pic to my compuer and used softwares like Photoshop, Irfanview, Pisaca, MS Photoeditor, Paintbrush etc, but none worked. I shot them with Sony DSC-P200

I have seen this type of thing happen when a photo is open that is displayed larger than your monitor. Then you have to scroll to see other parts of the photos, and as you scroll, the part of the photo that was off the screen is corrupted. Is that what you're talking about? If so, it could be that the photo is too large to be properly displayed. Have you tried resizing the image in one of your editing programs?

Maybe the files are corrupt, try PC inspector or Jpeg repair tool to recover data smoothly.
