Photoshop Elements, OS 10.3.7 and Adobe InDesign

I have MAC OS 10.3.7 (Panther) and Photoshop Elements 3.0. I'm considering buying Adobe InDesign CS for the Mac. It is fully compatible with Photoshop CS, but does anyone know if it is also compatible with Photoshop Elements 3.0? Also, is InDesign compatible with Panther (I know it is with Jaguar, at least)?

The word "compatible" implies many things. I wouldn't trust anyone who's answer to your questions were "yes".

Compatible in what way? What do you want them to do together?

I know Adobe writes it's products so that they interoperate well but there's bound to be certain limitations that can make or break it's usefullness.

Are you just concerned that the different applications can co-exist and behave nicely together on the same system? Or is there certain functionality you want like to open .psd files created in PSCS and open them directly into PS elements and vice versa?

Do you see what I mean about not knowing what you mean with the word "compatible"?

Perhaps I am completely misunderstanding your question :) I'm known for doing that quite often :)
