Need Help W/ transfer of pictures

I will be taking photos at a Jr. High dance. I would like to Hook my camera to my computer so that when the picture is taken The kids can see it on my computer screen. Is this something that can be done? And How?

What kind of camera do you have?

I can do that with my Nikon cameras. It takes special software though to do that.

I have a Canon 30D and a 40D

I believe Canon has software that you can do that with. I'm sure one of the Canon shooters will chime in sometime.

Are you asking for wireless connectivity to the PC? If so then the kit is a Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E1 which will transmit the pics straight to the PC. In the UK this is £800 so its an expensive solution. Not sure if this supports the 40D though you need to check.

Otherwise just move the card across to the PC for a cheap solution
