Re: Lightroom 1.3 presets
Paul, what other changes have you found with the new version? Today was the first day I had to use Lightroom since the upgrade and was thrown for a loop seeing the Export dialog box.
Re: Lightroom 1.3 presets
Nothing much, apart from it feels faster, and redraws in the filmstrip or the gallery are cleaner, with the black border being drawn in the right place :)
Rendering has changed, now I get a new message while it's rendering the 1:1 preview.
Seems to delay preview rendering and as a result draws quicker.
Also the startup time now with over 140000 images seems faster.
Lightroom goes off and checks the location of all the folders to make sure all the images will be reachable, and up to 1.3 that was slow. Now it's faster, I don't waste 5 minutes when I click on Lightroom !
Export has now two parts to the list on the rightclick context menu, Lightroom presets and User presets.
I still see a few redraw problems, particularly in Develop where the image jumps up and down. When that happens during a rightclick then the menu is not redrawn until I rollthe mouse up and down where the menu ought to be.
Overall this is an improvement in a few areas, as well as supporting more camera file formats.
Re: Lightroom 1.3 presets
I wish they would fix the conflict with lightroom and some CD burners. Everytime I want to export using something other than a preset or the last settings, i have to disable my burner in my device manager or lightroom just crashes.
Re: Lightroom 1.3 presets
I don't have that problem, using Lite-on SOHD167T reader and SOHW1633S writer.
Have you reported it to Adobe in the support forums ?

Yep. i found several other threads with the same problem in the forums, and it seems the only remedy found thus far was just to disable the drive, or flat out uninstall it.
