Instant printing from DSLR to Printer
Is there a method, or some sort of equipment that will allow me to print instantaneously from my DSLR to my printer without removing the memory card. I'm looking to depress the shutter on my camera and immediately feed the information to my printer (via wire or wireless) and start the print process without having to stop taking photos. This is for a show where kids will be taking photos with a local celebrity and they want instant photos. Please help.
Thanks.

Well if it was a canon camera and a canon printer (both with print bridge) you could print directly to the printer form the camera. Just take photo and hit the printer button and it will start printing. Even tells you if your ink is low on the camera screen. You would need to be connected by a usb cable unless there is some blue tooth device Im not aware of.

Good information. Any particular model of canon camera?

Well I have a canon 30d camera and canon Pixma ip6600d printer but I think many of Canons lower end models have 'print bridge' as well. That is a feature that is usually advertised in the specification or features list with online retailers. I never printed directly to the printer from the camera before until you posted this and it was pretty simple. I snapped a shot while I was connect via a USB cable, as soon as the preview showed on my cameras LCD I hit the dedicated print button on the camera and it started to print right away. In my case it told me I was low on link and asked id I still wanted to print. I’m not sure if you will have the extra button click but regardless, I was pretty impressed with the ease in which it worked.
By the way, the printer is the best photo printer I have had. Amazing colors and resolution. The prints look better then when I would send my Kodak gold to Kodak or processing. Thats comparing two point and shoot cameras, one film and on digital of course. One word of caution, if you plan on making many prints, bring plenty of ink which is not cheap. Im figuring a rough estimate is 100 4x6 borderless prints then a ink reload. Having said that, you might not want borderless to stretch the ink. Some of the 6 individual colors will last much longer, but just wanted to warn you. The higher end printers will use more ink so you may want to use a lesser Pixma model but they are slower at printing.
PS - Print Bridge is a Canon specific feature only found on Canon printers and cameras. So it wont work with oher brand cameras. Other makers may have similar systems that may work well too, not sure about one touch operation though.

He's right. Even my trusty old A520 point-and-shoot has this feature.
