Can I open photoshop 9.0 files in PS 8.0?

I created all my files in PS 9.0 CS2... and I'm sending the files to someone who only has 8.0. Will she be able to open these files?

    THANKS!

What format did you save them as?

Most standardized formats (JPEG, GIF, etc) will open. I'm not sure about RAW, but I think it will.

If you mean photoshop's native file format, PSD, yes...

All PSD files are backward compatible with photoshop version 3.0 or later. You may lose a few advanced file features that are particular to CS2, but nothing major.
