Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.0 Software Intro
I've written a short introduction and overview of Adobe's new Photoshop Lightroom 1.0 workflow software. It explains the basic tools in Lightroom and how it works alongside Photoshop.

A more detailed overview and review of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is in the works.

    Holy Moly.

The program looks amazing. I downloaded the 30 day trial last night (using Vista no less)

It is sleek, intuitve, laid out very well, and can handle the volume of pictures I need in a snap!

Completely blows away Bridge. Bridge is dead to me now.

the View options are great, keywords (the reason I am trying it out) are a snap. I messed a little with the processing controls and they seem to work well - will try them out more of course.

Overall it was seems exactly what I am looking for - getting through tons of pixs w/o spending a ton of time and then using CS2 to fine tune the few that someone will actully want.

    Thanks,
    Wes

    Exactly what I'm after.
I was fighting spending the money with PMA coming up, but having tried RawShooter Essentials I just had to go back to LightRoom.
    The killer feature?
Unlike RSE it doesn't just adjust my RAW images, it will edit JPEGs too.

I didn't know about the JPEG features, Paul. Thats another reason for me to set aside $200 to purchase it.
