Adobe Camera Raw looks differnent?

I just noticed today that my ACR looks different. There are no longer little check boxes to turn on and off the auto functions for exposure, shadows etc. Is this a result of an update or is it something I changed without knowing it?

That's what mine looks like too, minus the photo. :) I kind of liked the check boxes they had before...

Is there any way to set one of the sliders to Auto while the others stay where I want them? Before I would leave the contrast on auto, and set all the others either to off, or a specific setting. Now I can't figure out how to do that.

Kind of, though it's not nearly as intuitive. The solution lies in the settings menu. Set the adjustments where you want the 'defaults' to be. Then open the settings menu by clicking the arrow in the top right corner of the settings box:

Choose the "Save Settings Subset....." option. You get a dialog box that looks something like this:

Uncheck the boxes that you do NOT want saved as part of the defaults. In the xase above, I'm saving settings for all adjustments except contrast. Save the subset, and give it a name.

Now, when I open my image, I first click the "auto" button. Then open the menu, click on "Load Settings", and click on the name of your subset. All of the adjustments I saved change to their respective settings, leaving contrast at the "auto" setting.

I suppose they could have made this more difficult, but they would have had to put a lot of effort into it.:(
