8x12 Inkjet Paper
Does anyone know where I can get 8x12 photo paper for an inkjet printer? I've searched and can not seem to find anyone that makes it in that size. This is very frustrating.
Thanks,
Paul

Re: 8x12 Inkjet Paper
I don't know of any manufacturer making that size. I print in that size once in a while and what I do is use a 13x19 sheet and that gives me 2 8x12. You just print them vertically side by side while the 13x19 is set up in landscape position.

Re: 8x12 Inkjet Paper
Thanks for the reply, Gary. I've considered buying some 13x19 paper and cutting it down. But, I've noticed my printer software doesn't even have a selection for 8x12, so I'd have to use some kind of custom settings to make that work. Do you know if that can be done? I haven't read the manual yet, but I'll look there for the details.
I hate cropping my photos, so I find it very frustrating that no one makes 8x12 paper or frames. I end up making custom mats every time I frame anything. Since DSLRs are so prevalent now, you'd think they'd start supporting the 2:3 ratio more. Ok, I'll stop whining now. :D

I don't know what printer you have, but even my cheap Canon ($50) lets me add a custom paper size. I use it all the time for running 7x10 card stock through it. I would imagine you can do the same with yours. If not, Gary's idea will work too.

Re: 8x12 Inkjet Paper
Yeah, that was a stupid question. I found on the Epson website that it has user definable print areas, so I just need to figure out how to do it. It's an R280 and the max print size is 8.5 x 44. Now I need a paper cutter, so I can chop up the 13x19 sheets.
I wasn't planning to get into inkjet printing just yet, but my dad got this printer for free after a camera/printer combo rebate and he didn't want it. Lucky me. I think I'm going to like using it. It's a relatively low-end photo printer, but I'm very impressed with the prints. I see a larger printer in my future.

A4 paper is really close to 8x12, I would get some of that - its a european standard, 8.3 x 11.7. If you could settle for that you can find it all over amazon.

Thanks for the suggestion. That would save me a lot of trouble. I might have to try that.

Re: 8x12 Inkjet Paper
Your best bet is use the 13x19 so you can have a wide selection of papers to use. You size your image in PS to 8x12, then print two images vertically in the landscape format. You will have to cut only the middle to seperate the two, and you wind up with a nice 1/2 border all around.
