Some extremely tough lighting in Zion last Friday. There was no way to capture the whole range in a single shot. It was either sacrifice the shadows or the highlights. I ended up blowing out some highlights. Amazingly, by shooting RAW, I was able to rescue some cloud and sky. This would have been hopeless if I had shot JPEGs.

Knowing I'd have to try to rescue these in PP, I purposefully used my camera's native ISO (ISO 200) for maximum dynamic range.
