Brent, I'm not sure if the long vertical works here. I liked how it looked in your other shots, but to me not this time. Of course, I don't know what your thoughts were, or if you tried a lot of different crops. This is strictly my feeling on it, but there's so much black. Everyone else will probably differ from my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt. John
I like the idea of the different format, but I would crop off the black above her head, and leave the bottom. Did you intend for this to look like she is lying in a grave/coffin? Yikes. It has an effect.

Brent, the symetry in this is great and the whole concept works as it does for me in the others. I also think having a little less black abover her, sort of like in some of the other shots would be better. however, this is very artsy and i think if this is how you see it, I can see it being effective nonetheless. I'm not crazy about how the lighting on her face gives her a morbid look, but that might have been more or less what you want, and once again, it does work.
keep up the great series.
I really like the way its cropped. For me, if I cropped it at all, I would crop the bottom and leave the space above her hair. I like the feeling of her floating in darkness that the cropping gives. Her face looks like a skull, I think this adds to the power of the image and it is the reason I would crop from the bottom.
I suspect this isn't really a cropping but that black has been added at the top and bottom. Am I right? Technically, "cropping" means removing parts of the image.
