    power...

    hey all...got this new lens didnt blow alot of money on it, canon ef 75-300mm f/4-5.6 usm this is one of my first shots. shot in raw and post processed in pscs...comments ?

    Looks very sharp, stuntboy! Congrats on the new lens...use it in good health!
    Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap, but memories are priceless.

    Well for one it brings back old memories being a Power Lineman that transformer has to be older than me hehe. Dont C many of those in my neck of the woods anymore. Can you explain what that darker line is on the right upper corner . I dont know if its just the monitor im using but the picture does seem to have a little grain to it , Also were was this shot taken ? One strong point that i find here is that the color is dead on

    thapamd..always an honour to have such a great photography critique my pictures.

    Knight...thank you as well, the line is another power line running in front of the transformer. this picture was taken from my backyard deck, into the backlane.

    It's crisp, but on my monitor a tad dark. It's an interesting subject, yet nothing that really holds my intrest! Congrats on the new lens though,

    You pick some unusual subjects. This isn't neccesarily my thing, but it is much more visually compelling than something like the channel/brigde panoramic photo you posted a while ago.
