    Cargo

I found this cargo strap along side the road this morning. Nature's already on the job, working on it.
    I'd appreciate your opinions, please.

    Chunk,

Great concept, yet the lighting is a little unsettling for me. I don't really enjoy the shadows, yet it does add a nice contrast. Other than lighting, I love this feel, and the orange greatly adds to the green.

    Nice eye,

    Jared

Here's a good use of creative imagery. I like what you did here and you made something interesting out of apparently nothing. I like the brilliant colors here and both orange and green compliment one another. Love the detailed texture too .

I think this is a really nice shot! It looks to me as if the plant is being protected by the orange webbing.the shape, texture and patterns are interesting. its good to have something to focus on, and yet still have somthing pleasing to see no matter where the eye wanders.
If I have a nit it is the extra bit of green. It dosen't seem to belong. but then, maybe it does!
    Really good,
    Mark.

This is pretty cool Chunk. You took something that everyone else would have just driven by and not even noticed, and made it interesting, and definitly noticable. I love the way the colors compliment eachother, and the patterns and texture in the strap are great!

Thanks for the kind words Mike. I spotted the strap while walking along the road after stopping to take this shot and didn't really notice this little plant until I was on my kneestrying to get some kind of composition for the belt.

    Re: Cargo

Thanks Mark. I was thinking about taking out that bit of green but decided to leave it to show that there'd be more plants poking through pretty soon.

Thanks Nina. I guess I always like to show nature's patterns up against the manmade patterns - nature always wins imho.

Thanks Jared. It's the shadows that give form and depth to shots like this and keep them from feeling flat. I agree about the colors although I did reduce the saturation just a bit here.
