Not a sharp in the eyes as I would like and the background could be cleaner, but I think I'm progressing. How can 'focus' be so hard? All comments welcome. (Also 3 more shots in the Nature & Wildlife forum.) - TF

EDIT: Since the EXIF doesn't seem to be available:
    Sony A350
    Minolta AD 70-210 f/4
    210mm, ISO 800, f/4, 1/640 sec
    Hand held with Steady-Shot

I like the pose and general placement.:)

The bill's tip looks a little soft. (A smaller aperture was neccesary when shooting).

Also, I see much digital "noise" - especially near the bottom right corner. (NR reduction software will quickly & efficently fix this).

    Overall: Great shot and colors!

Everything happens so fast it seems like I don't even have time to see the bird. :-)

Thanks for you comments. Also, I have added the shooting info and updated my equipment since you posted.

I appreciate your adding shooting info.

The cause for the "noise" is ISO 800.
