    My First Post

    This is was one of the first pictures taken with my new camera. Some pointers would be great and Hello to everyone in the community.

    Welcome. Kinda an ambitious shot with a new camera -- most people start with daylight and color. I think it is good, but the the way the bridge is cut off seems awkward. I'm nost sure how you could have handled it better, though. Maybe cropping out a little more or shifting a little to the right.

    I can see what you are saying about the bridge looking a tad akward. I will post a full veiw of the bridge later. Unfortantly my veiw with the full bridge brings in some port'a'potties as well so im considering trashing them. I have a few other shots of this Arkansas river bridge I will get up soon.

    Welcome.You sure started with a very nice shot. I, too, was going to suggest having the edge of the other support in the frame, but after looking at it a while decided that having it would remove an element of tension from the shot and make it just another solid night time bridge shot. I think I like it better with the somewhat magical/mysterious suspension over the water.
    One small nit is that the reflections seem tilted just a bit and that's reinforced by the angle of the riverbank.
