ladybugamanda - The top one is an interesting expt. The bottom one has potential but you need to use one of those double-exp masks. Check out http://www.cokin.com/filtres7.html?=#345

GB - would that work w/ a DSLR? The way I did the photo was to have my son stand there as I opened the shutter - then I had him quickly duck.

Kelly - I'm the lady in the top photo - perhaps we are twins or long lost relatives!

Both images are really fun. I like that you're experimenting with long and multiple exposures. Keep on shooting.

Amanda - As far as I know, there's unfortunately no capabilitity with digital cameras to do multiple exposures. I doubt there is anything about the media that prevents it but that they just haven't put the effort into trying yet. Maybe they will.

I think some folks have tried to do some merging in PS afterwards, but to me it always looks different.

But what you could do is take separate shots with each of the filter attachments - one with the center blocked out, the other with the sides. Using a large aperature (like f-4) will make the transition soft. Then you could merge them in PS. Worth a try

wow, that top one is a little creepy lol. just looks like a two-headed person hahaha. for the bottom one, is there any way to make the face stand out a little more? It took me a few seconds to realize that's what it was. Also, I think both could use a little cropping on the sides. interesting experiment!

The top one is just me being two - faced! LOL I could make the face stand out more if I positioned the camera where he was above the lights more and waited a bit longer before I yelled DUCK!
