    Oahu north shore beach

Here's one of my favorite summmer snorkeling spots called Shark's Cove. I used a polarizing filter and tried to get more detail in the foreground rocks without losing too much of the background due to overexposure. Comments welcome. I've not done any post processing of the image yet.

Very vivid colors. The overall composition is great. I think it could have used a surfer or small boat paddling around in the near shore water area, but gotta take what you can get. The only flaw I see is that some tree branches are cutting up your big cloud there. Time to PS.

I didn't even notice that before. Thanks for pointing it out. One more thing to try out with photoshop.

Beautiful image. IMHO I think it could be improved with crop of the top portion to eliminate the large cloud. More attention will than be directed to the shore line and the great curve that leads the eye through your photography. And I agree with Costal Flyer it's real tough to take a bad photo in Hawaii.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Re: Oahu north shore beach

Thanks for the input. I think my biggest challenge in Hawaii was shooting through some of the cloudy conditions around the afternoon rain storms. I also bought a polarizing filter to help reduce some of the glare you can get from the shot above. I do really appreciate the suggestions for cropping. I'll probably do most of them before I print this one. It's needs to be hanging at my desk at work in a nice size to make me feel like I'm there.
