surprised this didn't get any comment.

it's a very good splash shot. maybe not tack sharp, but still looks good.

Re: When life gives you lemons

Yes pretty solid work. Could use a little more sharpness, but that is picky.

Of the two I prefer the second - I think the first one is spoiled a little by the other lemons at the top of the image.

Re: When life gives you lemons

Really cool work, IVAN. I agree with Mike in that the first shot would have been better without the other lemons in the bg, but still I find that one to be my fav of the two. Love the colors and the textures of the splashing water. Sharpness is adequate. the exposure and clarity is wonderful.

Nicely done, with a bit of room for improvement if you try again.

Thanks guys, and thanks for the sticky as well. I did not notice it till now but the file was very small. I must have uploaded it as an e-mail file or something. And I have been working on my sharpening skills in PS so i hope they improve.

The Picture of the Week is the first time I've seen this one since it never made it over to the Gallery. I'm loving it, doesn't really matter about the sharpness to me for this one...works well like it is.

Nice. They look a little cyan on my screen, maybe? But I like the concept.

Re: When life gives you lemons

I like the second one as well, but do see room for improvement as Gary suggested. It looks compressed. You might work on your resizing so we see the shot as you do in full size.

you're getting lots of 'idea' points from me - and without the idea, the rest of it . . . well . . .

Re: When life gives you lemons

Look like depth charges to me Ivan It works, and the wake and the different elevations of the lemons is outstanding. The only suggestions I have is to play with the color balance a bit, and to try sharpening the image up a little and see how that goes.
