Re: What are you looking at?
haha...love the title, nice picture. odd spot to see an owl too, never seen a picture of one on the ground like that. great detail.
Re: What are you looking at?
GREAT shot. very sharp, and great expression on the owl. Only one thing bothers me a bit about this image, and that's the fact that the owl is not centered, it seems down and to the left to me. it bothers me a tad, but other than that, this shot's amazing.
Re: What are you looking at?
Nice shot michael.
I never really did appreciate birds before coming to this board. I've seen nice bird shots here, and the expression on their faces is wonderful. also their eyes are something else.
Re: What are you looking at?
Great shot. Nice change from always having a bird on a branch!
Good shot,
Jared
Re: What are you looking at?
Thanks for all the comments everyone, the are greatly appriciated. This is a Great Grey Owl and not very common in these parts. They like to hunt in the day, and don't seem to have any fear of people so they make for pretty good subjects when you can find one. I watched this one for about 2 hours on Saturday afternoon. He stayed right by the road and and just flew from post to post looking for something to eat. I went back Sunday to see if I could find him again, but I had no luck. I hope he sticks around for another week or so, cause I would love another shot at him.
Thanks again everyone!
