I was thinking the color in the shot was kind of mundane.... What can I do to make this more interesting. I might star an in the water series of shots. Just odd stuff in a puddle.
This really reminds me of a pic I took of some old baseballs in a barn. I applied a filter that really bumps the tonal contrast in order to give it a super detailed/textured look, and that may fit here in parts. If you have access to photoshop, google "freaky detail calvin hollywood." I think Scott Kelby even links a download for an action. I would maybe also suggest a little noise reduction in the water.
