One minute Danielle was grumpy because she wanted to play at the park behind her and the next she was smiling for the camera. Bless her.

All that aside, it would be nice to know what you think of my images today (good or bad). ;)

If the first one is the grumpy one then that's the one for me. A perfect change from all the cute smiling adults and children. She looks deep in thought and only a little grumpy or upset. By far I prefer these than the straight on smiling portraits, beautiful as they are.

Hi Alison...I prefer the "grumpy one" as you call it..I'd call it pensive..Good tonality and composition...But,,,,I would have come in closer and cloned out the foliage sticking out of Danielle's head..

The first one's a beauty! I think it's a beautiful image, I don't see anything wrong you've done here. The soft glow works, as does the toning and the composition. I would probably clone out the few light grasses to her left as they compete a little for my attention. I also think that a larger aperature would have added even more to the image, throwing her background into a greater blur.

You did a great job here, there's nothing to be disappointed about!

I'm in agreement with everyone else on the "grumpy" photo being the better of the two. You were actually disappointed with this shot?! It's lovely. I think this is my favorite picture out of all that I've seen from you.

I'm with everyone else the first is resplendent in its elegence.

Also the composition is much better than #2 IMHO
