Waterfall
I took this picture with my old raggedy P&S. It's close to my house but only flows like this after a good rain. I'm looking forward to re-shooting this with my Canon.

Re: Waterfall
Very nice shot  and welcome to Photography Review. I like a photo with vivid colors in it but this one needs to be toned down a bit, Jeff

Re: Waterfall
A very nice location Darin. Like Jeff said, the colors are a little over the top on this image. This location is worth a re-shoot and I look forward to seeing what else you come up with from this spot.

Re: Waterfall
This looks like it was shot with velvia on steroids! Fantastic shot, but sliding the saturation slider a bit to the left will make this better.

Re: Waterfall
With those colours you would not need to smelt the iron out of the rocks, just scrape it off :-)
Colours need to be toned down a lot.

Re: Waterfall
Not a bad composition here... Echo everyone else on the colors, seems like a fantasy scene. Nice rocks, water, but not sure about the tree on the left side.

Re: Waterfall
good composition and selection of shutter speed.. i find the contrast of the green and orange over-saturated though and a bit painful. I recommend having a play with the HLS (hue/luminance/saturation) setting in photoshop or similar... suck the saturation back about 15% and you'll be on the money.

Re: Waterfall
Thanks for the input. After looking at it aging it looks like it is glowing the sat is so high. I went out and Re-Shot today with the Canon. It was windy so I had to sharpen them. What do you think of these?
Too bright?

The water looks overexposed to me?

Should I crop out the bottom like the original? More sat this time?..

Thanks again

Re: Waterfall
Much better with the canon, but the colours still seem a bit off, how are you processing them? also the composition on your first shot is spot on! the last shot is very close but I guess because the wind, water and lighting aren't playing as nicely it doesn't quite work as well.
