I came across these this afternoon and took a few shots. What do you think?

    Thanks in advance,

The top flower really looks on fire. I think it's a great title and image. Well framed and great colors.

Couldn't see the whole picture without scrolling. Definitely worth the
extra few effort to view in a full window.
Thanks of letting us see your picture.

Thanks for all the nice comments. For those that care, this was shot at 1/40s, F/11 at 53mm (28-75 lens) with +2 close-up lens and a polarizer. I initially tried it without the polarizer, but there was a little too much glare. Once I put the polarizer on, the colors really came out.

    Thanks,

It is an incredible shot. Looks alive (and evil !) The only comment other than excellant would be that nice, friendly flowers rarely have this much contrast. But this shot is great the way it is.

    PC,

One of the nicest flower shot's I have seen in a while and the title works great to capture the mood of the pic.

Re: Flowers on Fire - Looking for C&C

Thanks again to everyone for their comments. I know that it sounds strange, but I really didn't do any adjustments to the saturation; this is pretty much how it came out of the camera.

The other thing that's somewhat bothersome is that I don't generally like flower pictures that much. They usually seem so cliche, yet here I am posting another one.:mad2:

    Oh well.

great shot! great lighting! if I had only one quip (I always like to suggest one thing, in case you guys didn't notice) it would be the blown reds. Reds are tough to get right, and I think the saturation lends itself well to this photo, but still a little disappointed about the loss of small detail.
