Re: Walden Pond
I think you have done a fine job composing and framing a scene but there is no subject really. The photo is waiting for something to be on the water in the open space framed in by the tree and it foliage. Sometimes, a lake and its setting is enough to be the subject in which the setting and the lighting and mood come together to create a landscape that is the subject itself, but not in this case.
We have here a wonderful setting with a frame that is just waiting for a subject, be it a boat or people swimming an playing in the water or a couple standing together, something.
A fine photograph, but we need something more here.
Thanks for sharing.

Re: Walden Pond
I'm with Gary on this, nice photo but there is something missing, the duck landing on the water causing the wake in the distance is not enough. (Assumption its a landing bird).

Re: Walden Pond
I would have to agree with the others. The shot's framing is great, but something in that frame would make this shot allot better.

Re: Walden Pond
Thanks for the advice guys! Readingr that is actually a swimmer, but he was pretty far into the "pond" the one thing about that state park is no motor craft are allowed onto the water. Maybe if I can get back home during the summer I'll be lucky enough to see a sailboat out there
