Very alive for an inanimate object. Very nice warmth and feel. Kind of gives me an Oriental feel.

Nice shot, love the colors! The simplicity is great, very well composed. Just a question, what method did you use to get your signature on the bottom left? Digipad?

Cropped to my liking as well. Great image for it's simplicity and yet strong visual appeal. I like the fact that the line between colors is not quite running straight across but rather slanted. Strong comp, good work

Very unique thinking on your part, and very successful result too! I'd prefer a slightly brighter exposure (perhaps about 0.5 stop or so to make the white in the vase stand out a bit more). The only other nitpicks (yeah, I'm picky) is the texture from the wall and the tungsten-ish color tone. I'd like to see what this photo looks like a little brighter, where the whites are white, and where you cannot discern any texture from the wall in the background. Depending on how much room you have to work with you might try window light and pull the table as far as possible from the wall so that the texture will be blurred out by DOF.

Still, this is my style of photo and I like it a lot. Good work. Your signature on your photo is perfect. I may try to copy you if I ever post any photos again :)

I'd agree with Trevor, I think the idea is spot on, but I would play around with the lighting if I were you. the backround seems a little muddy to me, and I think this is dragging down the vibrancy of the red in the middle part of the shot. There is also a bluish highlight on the vase (which appears even more prominently in its reflection) which I think would improve things if you removed it. For a grab shot these things are probably ok, but with still life shots, especially ones where you have a lot of control over lighting, people tend to expect perfection!

Very imaginative as always, nice one.
