    The Motivational Poster

    Hi all,

Another submission from my walk inside the house series. When I was shooting this, I was thinking of those motivational posters one sees at work with words like:

"You can do it!", "The odds are always in your favor", "Perseverance wins", "Rely on teamwork", or "Don't blow it"

What you think of this idea?
    BR,
    Tim

Would look good with some ironic text on this image somwhere to illustrate your idea as its not immediately ovious, however i like the shot.

I have some ideas you may or may not like for you shot... its quite arty and alot of people dont like my style of photography, is it oke if i do edits or not ? I can send you my ideas by email if you want?

hmmm...I like it, it strikes me as comical, but at the same time, I can't help wondering if a larger DOF would help. Any possibility for a reshoot?

    A re-shoot is definitely needed

Thanks for the reply. This shot is a little wide-angle which caused a distracting distortion. I tried to fix it with software, but I'm not happy with it. That's one thing about the "crop-factor" of Digital... with my film SLR 50mm is strait on. I think the equivalent on the D70 is 33mm -- and I need to keep track of that.

I've posted the original below. Another bad habit I'm forming on this board is to "touch-up" photos after I downsize them for posting here. I brightened my submission (above) from my final version (below), but actually like the yellow glow of the darker version. Kick myself, eh? I should just go with the original version that I spent time mulling and not make any hasty changes.

When I re-shoot, I'm going to make sure that I'm at 33mm. This will be easier now that I have a tripod. I can also stop it down if needed now because I'll not need to keep the fast shutter for handheld. But, I kind of like the short DOF.

    Have a good weekend,
    Tim

hehe thanks, i just thought if you going to approach that kind of idea with a content with alot of potential with that idea but not emphasise you theme its going to have very little meaning.

The only crit i have with my own little fiddle of your pic is that its quite commercial and graphics orientated. It depends what you going for i guess.
