This is a shot of my cat Milo.

Really sharp, love the detail in the eye.

Yeah the eye is really awesome. The photo really stands on that. I guess much of the rest helps with context, but would a tighter crop on the eye work better, leaving just enough of the cat so nobody mistakes it for Kiera Knigtly?

I think it is a much stronger photo if you rotate it 90 degrees counter clock-wise. Nice job on making the ordinary unusual.

I have a photo on the critique board, as well -- would love to see what you think.

    Indeed!

I do like the rotation as it is, though. To me, rotating it gives the little kitty a sinister viper eye. Great photo!

Yup, I think I agree with the rotate suggestion too.

The detail of the eye is incredible. The reflection of the window is a bit distracting. I agree the rotation is good move.

    Re: Milo

I am looking at the rotation again. Whether it is good or not depends on whether you want to emphasize the aggressive predator or the sun-loving lizard. It is 50-50 as far as I am concerned. The relaxed and passive tone of the side view is just as good.

I like the original orientation, but might agree (not sure) about the window catchlight. Great shot.

    Re: Milo

Just wanted to add my  ... rotation works either way, pretty much depends on how aggressive you feel... i agree with that!!

    Very nice shot!

I tried to take the window out but I didnt look right as far as the look of his eye.
