juzzus,,,one of the few sunset/sunrise images I really like..Great use of foreground which gives this image depth...Colours are good too and the motion blur of the wave adds interest..

BTW,,I have been assigned by my wife to shoot something similar to hang on the wall but I'm a shite landscape photographer!! LOL

Very Nice juzzus. I myself am trying to get better at landscapes. If you did what filters did you use on this one?
    Nikon D70s.
    Nikon 18-70mm, 50mm 1.8, 80-200 2.8.
    Tokina 12-24.

Pretty picture to look at to be sure. Good depth and sharpness throughout. I like the graduated effect with the background.

Couple things that you had no control over which I have issues with: loading cranes(?) in the background and the clouds are a little sparse.

I think the shutter speed was a little too slow. That blurred effect is nice but seems to attract too much attention. I look there but there is not much else in that area. Also, there is some shadow on the foreground - I'm wondering what caused that?

    Still, a very pretty picture.

Thanks everyone for dropping by to leave your thots and comments ...

Jurgen , i'm sure you can make your wife a very happy person . Australia has beautiful landscape , i even have a book all about Australia landscape collection from one of my fav landscape photog Ken Duncan ... Excellent stuffs !!

xsport652 , i only use ND grad filters to balance the light from the background n foreground . Thats the only filter i own , can't live without it ... hahaha

loupey , you're right with the cranes ... something i have to learn to live with in my country . As for the wave i have a diff view from you , the blur effect is to inject some motion into the pic .
