    unlikely modeling canidate - another photographer
    Elsy came out to the studio yesterday morning to learn some basic studio lighting, but had just as much fun modeling.

    She isn't half bad! Nice concentration, looks good. You also did a nice job with the warmth and dead-on composition, which I think adds power to the image. My only complaint is that her eyes looks sooo good, smooth and interesting, but as you move down her face, there seems to be tension creeping in, esp w/ her mouth which seems a bit locked. But still - great job by her, and you.

    I think you captured a lot of character in this shot. I like the small amount of shoulder in the bottom left corner, its a small detail, but it serves to give a wholeness to the person. I remember some time ago, someone suggested covering half of the face with a piece of paper and then compare the two sides. It works really well in this case.
    The difference between the eyes and the lips I think is a strength to the photo, again referring back to the character of the subject.
