Under the freeway overpass

Critique please.
This was shot with film. Film seems to capture more accurately what it sees in tough conditions. Maybe it is my imagination.

J - Close. The blue glow in the water reminds me of a vacation I took to Capri, the Blue Grotto cave I believe (that was 1985 :) ). I like the kid in the water. But what I don't like is the strange geometry, and bottom shadow, and the ultimate lack of a subject. I think the kid could be bigger and more prominent, or pretty much the subject. To do that you would have had to move over to the right and shoot him or her against the blue water.. Mighta worked! Anyway, for what it's worth, that's what I'm seeing.
