    Ummm chocolate....



    took this earlier this summer while i was working in the Maze district of canyonlands National Park. The formations in the middle ground are known as the chocolate drops. comments or sugestions?

    I like this shot with it's different horizontal layers going through it, but it seems a little over exposed. When taking shots like this I like to use a polorizer to get the sky to be a deep dark blue, I think that would really make this shot look nice.

    yeah it would, also not taking it at noon in the desert would help alot to, but we were on work schedule and i only had my digital ps so no polarizor. i think so it is actually haze, there is a good distance between the chocolate drops aand the background as well.

    beautiful scenery! i agree a darker sky would help, but i guess you did the best you could given the circumstances lol. the only thing i would say is maybe a little tighter crop on the right, but that's just personal preference.

    i noticed you are from pittsburgh btw! nice to see a "familiar" face lol

    hey thanks, i was kind of contemplaiting a tigher crop to, but i think i like the sky better. . yeah i'm from pittsburgh, but i;m in Utah until aug 18 then i start grad school at IUP on the 28th...

    maybe we could meet up ( once i get a film or dslr camera that works), getting tired of my digital ps.
