    Since nobody else mentioned it, I will. Although this is a technically well-executed fireworks photo and the red, white and blue bursts together are great, what makes a great fireworks photo is foreground. This *is* nice. But having an interesting foreground - buildings, trees, people, etc. - would have really made it something special. Whenever I shoot fireworks I try to plan for foreground content. For next time, think about where you could shoot that would add some interesting foreground elements. You've definitely got the technique. All you need is a complimentary location / content that adds meaning

    Someone did mention this in another thread - and it is a good point. Depth and context make fireworks photography extra-special.

    That said, you have to admit, this photo is still pretty dang great.

    I also agree it is awesome but tend to agree with John a hint of detail in the sky, clouds or trees would have helped. But with that this is the best fire works shot I have seen in awhile.
