The first one could have been great! I'm definitely not knocking the image, it is a great depiction of what the old world looks like. I feel that it would have been very effective if the shot was straight on instead of at an angle.

Hope you enjoyed your trip. I love the first one as it reminds me of when I went to Venice. The angle also reminds me of my trip. I would like to say that I believe ( Pls don't take the wrong way!) the second shot (Etna) would have definitley have been better without the flower pot! Good shots though.

Elena - The first one is the best. But I'd up the contrast on it or something to give it a tad more dimensionality. I agree with biggy smalls that it would have been even better straight on btw, as that would have been a flat shot and the shadow would have provided sort of an optional illusion.

I hear this place is nice. I have some descendents over there I should look up, if I ever make it over there.
