    Doh! The butterfly is partly out of focus. Looks like you have a really shallow depth of field so that could be part of it. Stopping down to f/8'ish might have helped. Composition is good but I'm afraid the bluriness kind of distracts from the image as a whole.

    Thanks for the critiques. Here's another shot of it, and a little more in focus, though not as bright.

    Ok so it it is a bit blurry but I think that the idea works really well and it works well at capturing my imagination. Would like to see if you can improve on this...
