    Turn down the heat please

Even our Husky Nanook is not use to this heat we are getting in the Seattle area, poor guy trying to stay cool in the backyard and gave me a chance to try out my first 1D series body really digging the Mark III so far. Not sure which works best here color or B&w or neither. Feedback, suggestions on comp, processing greatly appreciated

    Thanks for looking

Great! I like the color one way better. The 1DmkIII has awesome image quality.

Sorry to hear about the heatwave. Wish it would get lost on its way here, but of course it won't...

The B&W is especially striking for that dog!

The colour image gets my vote. They eyes on huskies are so striking. Is there a way you could pop those up just a bit?

    Beautiful dog!

Color for me. I love the DOF also. Beautiful dog!! I am not sure if I like the comp though. It might be the back part of the dog being clipped of, or that the dog is looking to your left. Maybe making the eyes pop a bit could fix that. Who knows???

Re: Turn down the heat please

I like the color version best.
I would like to see a bit more dof as one side of her face is softer than the other.
Her body and paw being clipped don't bother me but I might like it better if they weren't.

I've been taking my dog,(Sadie), down to the creek twice a day but mostly she wants to stay inside with the a/c. The gradual cool down we are going to get is way to gradual for me.

    Can't decide B/W or color.Both are great.
I do wish the paw was in the pic. and less on top. Beautiful sharp detail, highlights as well. This sure is one gorgeous husky.

He's a very hansom chap and I personally think the colour version is the better of the two, i would also prefer to see all of him.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

I have no issues with you editing my photos
